Our Vision  – At C&R, we envision a future where textiles are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally friendly. Our R&D department is dedicated to pioneering solutions that reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote a circular economy.

Innovative Research  – Sustainability is at the core of our R&D efforts, driving us to reduce our environmental footprint while promoting economic growth and addressing social concerns. By integrating renewable resources and minimizing waste, we strive to create textiles that are as gentle on the planet as they are beneficial to the consumer. In response to new regulations and our deep commitment to environmental stewardship, our R&D department is intensely focused on developing innovative textile waste treatment solutions. We are exploring advanced recycling techniques to transform both pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste into valuable materials, ensuring a more sustainable future for the textile industry.

Resources & Infrastructure – To support our groundbreaking research, we have dedicated significant resources to establishing state-of-the-art facilities. Our internal lab is already set up to perform textile quality tests and support some of our research and development efforts. Additionally, we’ve designated one of our buildings for developing and installing new technologies aimed at managing textile waste. This facility will allow us to pilot and scale innovative solutions, ensuring they are viable and effective before full-scale implementation.

Collaborative Approach  – We believe that the best innovations come from collaboration. Our R&D department works closely with industry partners (2lives), academic institutions (ESS|P.PORTO, UC), research centres (CIIMAR) and other stakeholders (Lipor) to drive forward-thinking projects. This collaborative approach ensures that we stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to global sustainability goals.
