Introduction

Whistleblowing channel

Welcome to Cunha Ribeiro's internal whistleblowing channel. On 20 December 2021, Portugal published Law no. 93/2021, which established the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law.

Among other entities, companies that employ more than 50 people are subject to the RGPC (Portugal's General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption) and to the general regime for the protection of whistleblowers.

You can report any reprehensible situation, or actions that are illegal or that breach Cunha Ribeiro's internal policies. Whistleblowers who act in good faith and have serious grounds to believe that the information is true, and that it would not otherwise be disclosed, are protected, so the whistleblowing channel should be used in those situations.

The report should include information on dates and identify the people and entities involved. Where possible, it should also be supported by documents.
